After embarking on a 60-day fast with friends that included taking a break from men and partying, GloRilla emerged triumphant with an unforgettable 2022 hit, “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” — forever cementing herself in the rap annals.

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, in a family of 10, children Gloria Hallelujah Woods took the industry by storm with her gritty voice, playfully empowered bars and authentic Bluff City drawl. Her first smash hit, “F.N.F,” produced by fellow Memphian Hitkidd, led audiences to get familiar with her all summer before she signed to the CMG record label of her hometown hero, Yo Gotti. By the end of her debut year, she landed a guest verse from Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B on the song “Tomorrow 2” — a verse Rolling Stone ranked as the Bronx native’s career best.

The following years came with Grammy-carpet appearances, a Coachella debut, touring with Megan Thee Stallion and multiple catchy singles before releasing her debut album, Glorious in 2024. The Gen-Z rapper has kept listeners locked in and the internet entertained, harvesting attention from Rihanna, Beyoncé and even politicians in Congress with her uplifting and real lyricism and her infectious southern accent. “When they look at me, when they mention my name, they put me up there with the big dogs like Cardi, Nicki, Megan. I’m like, ‘Damn, I got to deliver like them,” she told Rolling Stone in 2023.Elise Brisco
