Drew Desbordes — or Druski, as he’s called by his over 10 million followers across social media — is a 29-year-old social media personality who’s turned his skill with making viral skits into an online comedy empire.

First beginning in 2017, Desbordes began posting online comedy videos to Instagram under the handle @Druski2funny, most of which revolved around character work. His most popular characters take everyday experiences and give them ridiculous bents, like a TSA agent on a power trip, and a music executive making decisions with an iron fist. After touring with up and coming rapper Jack Harlow, Druski became a staple on an internet that combined legitimate hip hop music stars with comics on the rise. Desbordes has been featured by artists like Lil ‘Yachty, Drake and Harlow. In 2021, he created the music label “Coulda Been Records,” which started as an ironic take on his popular Instagram series and has since expanded into a real-life record company and an upcoming competition show.

Desbordes’ work is now conducted under 4Lifers Entertainment, a collaborative comedy team that now includes a touring arm and other social media series. In February 2024, he launched the YouTube reality show Coulda Been House, and in July, he expanded his work in the music scene, releasing a U.K Drill single titled “No More Social Media.”

“I think it’s just amazing that I can create my fan base,” he told Rolling Stone in 2024. “We don’t need anybody to tell us we can be on that TV show, or to kiss up to somebody to try to get in that door.” — C.T. Jones
