Chappell Roan — and Her Glammed Out Fans — Brought the Drama to NYC
Chappell Roan kicked off her first run of 2025 U.S. shows at the historic Forest Hills Stadium in Queen, New York. Saturday night. Earlier this year, the singer announced a limited series of pop-up shows in NYC, Kansas City, and L.A., with her new “Visions of Damsels and Other Dangerous Things” show. The night was both a homecoming and a coronation for Chappell — as well as a communal dance-crazed celebration for her fans.

With Chappell’s theatrical Visions of Damsels aesthetic in mind, the crowd was dressed to kill. Fans adorned themselves in bright pink cowboy hats, leather bodysuits, glitter, and intricate makeup looks. During “Kaleidoscope,”  the venue lit up like a rainbow as the singer addressed fans. “I just needed a place like this so bad when I was 13, 14,” Roan said. “I just wanted to dress up however I wanted to — I wanted to look weird. I hope that you know you’re welcome here, however you show up today. You are cherished.”
